Introduces an AI skill to ease the tedious IDR Filing process

Internet Technology Services introduces a skill for popular AI assistants (Claude, Muse, Grokbot, etc) that connects to our IDR AI Insights platform. Proving IDR AI Insight users the option to skip the forms and handle the process is a natural conversational format. Easing the IDRs complex deadline management and do the prep work for a federal IDR filing: case by case deadline management, screening billed lines for eligibility, picking the forum, batching lines, building the packet with a recommended offer, drafting the position statement, and track cases through funding. All interactions can be found on IDR AI Insights.

What does the skill do?

  • Eligibility screen: marks lines “likely eligible” using the app’s rules and forum router. It’s a screen, not a ruling. Lines that need more input get flagged for human review.
  • Forum check: tells you when a state process applies instead of federal IDR, and why.
  • Batching and deadlines: groups lines and tracks deadlines.
  • Packet and offer: recommends an offer based on your saved market-rate evidence (75th percentile), CMS history, a percentage of the QPA, or an amount you give. A person sets the final offer.
  • Statement and copy sheet: drafts the position statement. It can’t be exported until a person signs off on the exact text.

What makes the IDR filing skill different?

  • Works inside the assistant you already use: your team asks in plain language, and the assistant does the work directly in IDR AI Insights.
  • Does the whole prep job: screens lines for eligibility, routes each line to federal or state process, batches lines, tracks deadlines, builds the packet with a recommended offer, drafts the statement, and exports the copy sheet.
  • A person stays in control: nothing is filed automatically, a person sets the final offer, and AI-drafted statements need sign-off before export.
  • Privacy is built in: the server refuses patient identifiers and strips patient data from files before reading them.
  • Scoped, revocable keys: each key works for one client only and stops working as soon as it’s revoked.

What problem does the skill solve?

Filing by hand is slow, repetitive work: checking each line’s eligibility, sorting federal from state process, grouping lines into batches, and writing a position statement for every dispute. The skill hands that prep to an assistant your team already uses, while a person still makes every decision that counts.

How does it protect patient data?

The server refuses patient names, dates of birth, member IDs, claim numbers, addresses, phone numbers and emails typed into chat. For 835/837 files and spreadsheets, patient segments and identifier columns are dropped before anything is read, and responses are checked again before they’re sent back.

How much does it cost?

Currently the skill is avaliable  to our pilot providers. If your a medical provider or file IDRs contact us at (949) 446-1716 or its@internettechnologyservices.com for early access.

FAQ

No. It recommends an offer, and a person sets the final offer in the app.

Can I try it without real billing data?

Yes. Use a test client and the synthetic sample files.

Who can create an API key?

Owners and admins of a client, under Settings, API keys. Each key works for one client only and can be revoked right away.

How big is the federal IDR market?

  • More than 1.46 million federal IDR disputes were started in 2024, and providers started over 99% of them (Congressional Research Service, R48738).
  • About 97% involved out-of-network emergency and non-emergency services. The other 3% (44,238) involved air ambulance services (same source).
  • CMS publishes dispute-level outcomes and offer amounts in its Federal IDR public use files, and notes that deciding whether a dispute is eligible is still complicated.
